There will be a night at the Crossroads for bowling and fun on January 31st at 7 pm for middle and high school students. Everyone can just meet there and there is no cost to attend. If you plan on going you must sign up by January 21st with Pastor Tyler.
The Next Generation Youth Group students will be having a Pancake Breakfast Fundraiser on February 7th from 9:00 am—11:00 am. There will be pancakes, eggs, bacon, and drinks. This event will be open to the community and will be for donations. All money raised will help support the Winterfest trip. Please see Pastor Tyler for more information.
The church will be providing the meats, there will be a sign up sheet for menu items later.
We will be wrapping all the gifts for our Christmas outreach on Sunday, December 14th at 5:00 pm in the fellowship hall. If you would like to help wrap please sign up at the information booth. We could possibly be wrapping close to 300 gifts. Also, we could use donations of wrapping paper, tape, boxes, gift bags, etc. If you have any to donate, please let us know.
If you have adopted a child for Christmas, please remember that all gifts need to be turned in by December 14th. Please leave gifts unwrapped and place them in a trash bag with the information tag attached or in the bag.
The Romeo Group will be meeting for breakfast on Tuesday, December 2nd at 8:30 am. Breakfast will be at Denny’s (exit 80)
Next week, we will begin decorating for Christmas on Monday evening at 6:00 pm. If you would like to help please see Tanya Thompson
Reminder: This Sunday, The Next Generation Youth Group will be auctioning off desserts to help raise money for Winterfest. Bidding will be before and after each service with the winners announced after the 11 am service. If you are not present, you will be notified by phone to schedule a time to pick up. If you would like to donate a dessert, or if you have already up to bring something, please bring it to the service you attend.
The Young Adult Group (ages 18-29) will be having a Friendsgiving Dinner on Monday, November 17th, at 6:30 pm in the fellowship hall. If you would like to attend, please sign up at the information booth. If you would like to help with food, please see Hana Quesenberry or Hunter Jackson.
There will be a dinner for those who signed up, on Sunday, November 9th at 4 pm. This an evening of fun games, giveaways, and fellowship.
We will be sponsoring needy children in our area for Christmas. On Sunday Nov. 2nd we will have information cards available for pick-up if you would like to purchase gifts for the children.
This year we will be celebrating Pastor Kenny and Brenda’s 25-year anniversary on Sunday, October 26th. We will be having a dinner that evening at 5:00 pm. If you plan on attending, please sign up at the information booth. There was an email sent out with more information about Pastor Appreciation. There will be a Pumpkin Painting Night on October 18th at 5:00 pm. All youth group students (middle & high school) are invited to attend. There will be food, fellowship, and pumpkin painting. All
food, pumpkins, and supplies will be provided. Please see Pastor Tyler for more information.
There will be a Prime Timers (ages 50 & up) fellowship on Friday, October 10th at 6:30 pm. More information to come!

On Friday, September 26th, there will be a 5th Quarter Event for all middle and high school students from 9-11pm (after the Pioneers football game). There will be pizza, games, and fellowship. Students are encouraged to bring friends!
There will be a district revival at New Hope Church of God in Christiansburg on Sept 17—Sept 20th (7:00pm nightly). Pastor Kenny will be preaching on Friday, September 19th.
We will be having a Youth Service on Wednesday, September 17th at 7:00 pm. The youth praise team will be leading us in worship, the Radiant dance team will be ministering to us, and then Pastor Tyler will be preaching.
On Sunday, September 14th, the ladies will be meeting for “Sandwiches and Sundaes” at 5:00 pm. We invite all ladies to join us for a time of fun and fellowship! There will be a sandwich bar and then ice cream sundaes for dessert. Please sign up for menu items at the information booth or on the Facebook event page.
We will begin a baby bottle campaign to support the Pregnancy Resource Center on Sunday, September 14th. If you would like to pick up a baby bottle to fill with loose change, please stop by the table in the foyer. All bottles need to be returned by October 15th. There will also be a sign up sheet for the Pregnancy Resource Center Banquet on October 17th. Please see Becky Taylor for more information.
We have had some people interested in being baptized in a creek/river. If there is enough participation, we will be doing a creek baptism service on Sunday, September 7th at 5:00 pm. There is a sign up sheet available at the information booth. If you have any questions, please see Pastor Kenny.
We will be honoring our first responders on Sunday, September 14th during both services. If you are currently serving as a first responder and would like to be recognized, please stop by the information booth to fill out a recognition form. These forms need to be turned in by Sunday, September 7th.
On Sunday, September 7th, we will be promoting children in the Sunday and Wednesday classes. If you have any questions, please see Pastor Kenny or Pastor Terry.
On August 30th, there will be a “Senior Adult Day” at the State Office Campground in Roanoke from 11am-3:30pm. This event is open to all Church of God senior adult groups. There will be free activities including a catered meal, games, comedy act, red back hymnal singing, and then a message by Pastor Kenny! Also, please remember to bring your lawn chair!
